Two sessions at the WFH Virtual Summit looked at how technology is supporting the WFH vision of Treatment for All. The second session was held yesterday at the WFH Virtual Summit. “Future technologies for curing hemophilia – Part 2” was moderated by Glenn Pierce, MD, PhD, WFH Vice-President, Medical. The event gave the floor to a number of experts who each showed how technology is supporting the drive for a cure.
Gutierrez Martinez talked about technology and gene therapy in hemophilia A and B. Doug Kerr asked, “What could a new class of non-viral gene therapy offer in the future?” Denise Sabatino provided insights into durability and safety after long term follow up of AAV-mediated gene therapy in hemophilia A dogs.
