Novie Chozie, MD, co-opted to WFH Board of Directors

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is pleased to announce that Novie Chozie, MD, from Indonesia, has been co-opted to the WFH Board of Directors.

The addition of Chozie to the board further broadens its regional representation and also makes it more diverse in terms of experience. Latifa Lamhene from Algeria and Baiba Ziemele from Latvia were previously co-opted in October subsequent to the (WFH) 2020 Annual Meeting of the General Assembly.

As a Medical member on the WFH Board of Directors, Novie Chozie will bring valuable experience to the organization. She has been collaborating with the WFH for many years, and has been an instrumental part of the success of the WFH Humanitarian Aid Program in Indonesia. She has also played a significant role in supporting outreach and identification efforts in Indonesia. Chozie has collaborated with many stakeholders to develop education programs for primary healthcare providers and for specialists to help them better recognize and diagnose hemophilia cases. These efforts have significantly increased the number of identified patients in the country.

Novie Chozie, MD is a pediatric hematology oncologist and works in the pediatric hematology-oncology division at the Department of Child Health, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta.
