Wednesday’s session, “Healthy living”, moderated by Sabrina Farina, covered the way nutrition, fitness, sleep, self-esteem, healthy aging and healthy sexuality all play a part in the life of someone with a bleeding disorder.
Sabrina Farina covered definitions of healthy aging, trends in aging, and best practices for healthy aging. Hariyati Shahrima Abdul Majid discussed definitions of self-care, and talked about healthy eating, appropriate physical activities, and sleep hygiene. Next, Richa Mohan went over understanding healthy self-esteem, building blocks and ranges of self-esteem, tools and skills for changing self-esteem, and benefits of self-esteem. Finally, Mina Nguyen-Driver talked about healthy sexuality for people with a bleeding disorder.
