Today is World Hemophilia Day! Every year, this important event is celebrated on April 17 in honour of Frank Schnabel, the founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). This year, the theme of World Hemophilia Day is Outreach & Identification—“The first step to care”.
In the coming hours people from the global bleeding disorders community will be posting comments on the WFH World Hemophilia Day website, and on WFH social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, using hashtags such as #WorldHemophiliaDay, #WHD2019, #hemophilia, #bleedingdisorders, #TreatmentforAll, #ShowYourRed, #LifeinRed, #LightItUpRed, and #KnowYourRed.
We encourage you to be part of the activity that will make today’s World Hemophilia Day another successful event. Please share your stories—and pictures of local landmarks which are Lighting it up Red!
