WFH holds webinar titled Updated Estimates of Prevalence and Prevalence at Birth of Hemophilia

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) has spearheaded a scientific study updating the prevalence of hemophilia to higher numbers than previously estimated and providing, for the first time, estimates of the prevalence at birth of hemophilia.

Listen to lead authors, Alfonso Iorio, MD and Jeff Stonebraker, PhD, explain the methodology behind the updated estimates of prevalence and prevalence at birth for hemophilia.  This one hour webinar also discusses the life expectancy disadvantage associated with hemophilia and the impact the updated estimates have on the expected number of patients with hemophilia worldwide.
